Our story
From Sim Oil to Sim Energies.
Founded in 2017 as a bulk fuel supplier. Rebranded in late 2025 to reflect a broader role in Tanzania's energy sector. The name has changed. The ownership, leadership, and commitment have not.
Who we are
Sim Energies Limited is a Tanzanian fuel retail and energy solutions company, locally registered and owner-operated. We supply petrol and diesel through seven service stations on the country's busiest logistics corridors — from Dar es Salaam to Tunduma on the Zambian border, and across to Zanzibar — and deliver bulk fuel directly to commercial fleets, construction sites, mining operations, and institutional clients throughout the mainland.
The rebrand from Sim Oil to Sim Energies in late 2025 reflects where the business has grown: beyond bulk fuel into premium lubricants distribution, with authorised reseller contracts for Gazpromneft and G-Energy. The same ownership. The same management team that built the network from a single corridor operation to seven stations in eight years. What changed is the scope of what we can offer the businesses that depend on us.

How we work
Our values.
Safety
Every station, every delivery, every interaction is conducted with the safety of our people, customers, and communities as the first consideration.
Results orientation
We measure ourselves by what we deliver — reliable supply, met commitments, and commercial relationships that hold under pressure.
Sustainability
Operating responsibly within the communities and environments where we work — meeting NEMC standards, managing waste, and building for the long term.
Customer centricity
The commercial buyer who can't afford a delayed delivery. The fleet manager stretched across three sites. We build our operations around their realities.
Integrity
Transparent pricing, honest communication, and accountability when things don't go to plan. We don't oversell and we don't hide from problems.
Licensing & compliance
Regulated at every level of our operations.
Licensed fuel retailer. EWURA sets and enforces quality, safety and pricing standards for fuel retail operations across Tanzania.
Workplace safety compliance across all service stations and bulk storage facilities. OSHA certification covers staff training, equipment standards, and incident protocols.
Environmental permits for fuel storage and handling. NEMC compliance governs waste management, spillage response, and environmental impact monitoring.
Fuel pump calibration and accuracy certification. WMA ensures customers receive the precise volume purchased at every station.
